- Spot: at the Regular level, makers pay 0.10% and takers pay 0.10%. Pairs on BloFin’s high-risk list, tokenized stocks such as AAPLX among them, cost 0.2% on both sides.
- Futures: 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. The fee is worked out on the full position, not your margin, and charged once to open and once to close.
- TradFi futures on stocks, ETFs and commodities pay the same Regular rates as crypto futures.
- Funding passes between longs and shorts, not to BloFin, every 8 hours on BTCUSDT, and only positions open at settlement pay or receive it.
- VIP levels run from Regular to VIP 5. Meeting a single condition gets you a level, and 50,000 USDT in assets is enough for VIP 1. At VIP 5, futures makers pay 0%.
- TradeGetPaid returns 50% of your spot and futures fees, so the Regular futures rates work out to 0.01% maker and 0.03% taker.
BloFin fees at a glance
| Fee | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| Futures (perpetual) | 0.02% | 0.06% |
| TradFi futures (stocks, ETFs, commodities) | 0.02% | 0.06% |

Rates for a regular account, the level BloFin calls Regular rather than VIP 0. Higher VIP levels pay less on spot and crypto futures. Futures and TradFi positions also pay or receive funding at set times. It goes between traders, and BloFin takes no share.

Maker or taker: which fee you pay
A market order fills immediately against orders already waiting in the order book. It takes liquidity out of the order book, so you pay the taker fee. BloFin’s fee FAQ puts it in one line: “Market Orders are always Taker Orders.”
A limit order that isn’t filled immediately goes into the order book and waits until someone trades against it, and then you pay the maker fee. The FAQ’s own case: with Bitcoin at 100,000 USDT, a limit order to buy at 99,900 USDT waits in the order book until a seller fills it.

A market order takes liquidity and pays the taker fee. A limit order that waits in the book adds liquidity and pays the maker fee.
A limit order can still pay the taker fee. If it “immediately matches an existing order in the order book”, BloFin charges it as a taker, so a buy limit priced at or above the lowest ask costs the same as a market order. Our maker vs taker guide explains when this happens.
BloFin spot fees
A spot trade swaps one asset for another outright: pay USDT and the Bitcoin you buy is yours. At the Regular level BloFin charges 0.10% to makers and 0.10% to takers, so a limit order costs the same as a market order. The two rates only split at VIP 1, where makers pay 0.035% and takers 0.06%.
A $1,000 Bitcoin buy costs $1 in fees at the Regular level, whichever order type you use, and selling that $1,000 later costs another $1. At VIP 1 the same buy costs $0.60 with a market order and $0.35 with a limit order that waits in the book.
That Regular rate matches Binance, which charges its regular users 0.1% on both sides, and Bybit, which charges the same at VIP 0. Some exchanges charge new accounts much more: Kraken Pro starts at 0.4% maker and 0.8% taker, and Coinbase Exchange at 0.4% and 0.6%.
High-risk spot pairs cost double
BloFin’s fee page keeps a separate list it calls “Symbols with high-risk”, coins that “involve higher trading risks”. Every pair on it costs 0.2% as a maker and as a taker, twice the Regular rate, so a $1,000 buy costs $2 instead of $1. On 15 October 2026 the list had 16 spot pairs, including tokenized stocks such as AAPLX, NVDAX and TSLAX. Pairs get added to it, so check the “Discount & Risk Rates” tab on the fee page before trading a pair that’s new to you.
BloFin futures fees
BloFin’s futures are perpetual contracts: they follow a coin’s price and never expire. You can go long or short, and leverage lets you open a position larger than the money you put in, up to 150x on BTCUSDT and less as the position grows.
The fee page has a single futures table, and at the Regular level it charges 0.02% to makers and 0.06% to takers. New contracts have recently started cheaper still: BloFin’s listing notices give them no maker fee and half the taker fee, 0.03%, for their first 48 hours.
Per dollar traded, that’s cheaper than spot, but leverage means you trade far more dollars.
Why leverage makes futures fees bigger
BloFin’s fee FAQ is explicit: fees “are calculated based on the position’s notional value, not the amount of margin used or the selected leverage.” Put $1,000 of margin into a trade at 10x and you hold a $10,000 position, so the fee is worked out on $10,000.
A market order to open costs $6, and one to close costs $6 more: $12 in fees before the price moves, which is 1.2% of your $1,000. The same $1,000 bought and sold on spot pays $2.

BloFin charges the fee on the full $10,000, not on your $1,000: $6 to open and $6 to close at the Regular taker rate.
Limit orders on both sides bring the round trip down to $4, and a limit order to open with a market order to close comes to $8.
Opening and closing are charged separately
BloFin charges a fee on every fill, “including when opening and closing a position”. Each fee is the contract value, times the number of contracts, times the average fill price, times your rate. The FAQ runs the sum for a market order of 2,000 BTCUSDT contracts of 0.001 BTC each, filled at an average of 20,000 USDT: a position of 40,000 USDT and a fee of 24 USDT at the Regular taker rate.
Since each side uses its own fill price, the closing fee moves with the market. If Bitcoin is 10% higher when you close the $10,000 long, you’re closing $11,000 worth, and the taker fee comes to $6.60.
Funding fees on perpetual futures
A perpetual contract never expires, so no expiry date pulls its price back to the coin’s spot price. Funding does that job: at set times, traders on one side of the market pay traders on the other. BloFin’s help center says funding fees “are not charged by BloFin as a trading fee” and are instead “exchanged between traders”.

Longs and shorts pay each other at set times, such as every 8 hours, and none of it goes to BloFin.
- Who pays: a positive rate means longs pay shorts, and a negative rate means shorts pay longs.
- When: BTCUSDT settles every 8 hours, at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC. The gold contract settles every 4 hours, and BloFin’s funding FAQ also lists 2-hour and 1-hour schedules.
- Intervals can change: since 9 December 2025, BloFin’s system can move a contract between 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours as volatility, funding rates and liquidity change, without announcing each switch. A contract’s information page shows its current schedule.
- How much: the funding rate times your position’s value. At 0.01%, the $10,000 position pays or receives $1 per settlement, or $3 over a day with three settlements. The rate moves from one settlement to the next. At 0.017%, one of BTCUSDT’s rates in late September 2026, the amount is $1.70.
- Only at settlement: close before settlement and there’s nothing to pay or receive. BloFin notes that settlement can take up to a minute, so a position opened 20 seconds after the settlement time can still be included.
TradFi on BloFin
Under TradFi, BloFin lists perpetual contracts on US stocks, ETFs and commodities such as gold. They’re margined in USDT and follow the price of the underlying asset, so you trade the price without owning the share. There’s no separate TradFi table on the fee page: at the Regular level these contracts pay the same 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker as crypto futures, and new stock listings come with the same 48-hour discount.
Funding applies here too. Stock contracts settle every 8 hours, and the gold contract (XAU-USDT) every 4 hours.
Tokenized stocks are a different product: tokens on the spot market that follow a share price. The ones on BloFin’s high-risk list, such as AAPLX, cost 0.2% to trade.
BloFin VIP levels
BloFin has six levels: Regular, then VIP 1 to VIP 5. You qualify through any of three routes: 30-day futures volume, 30-day spot volume or your assets. Whichever puts you highest sets your rates on spot and futures alike.
| Level | Spot maker | Spot taker | Futures maker | Futures taker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | 0.1000% | 0.1000% | 0.0200% | 0.0600% |
| VIP 1 | 0.0350% | 0.0600% | 0.0060% | 0.0500% |
| VIP 2 | 0.0200% | 0.0500% | 0.0040% | 0.0450% |
| VIP 3 | 0.0150% | 0.0450% | 0.0020% | 0.0425% |
| VIP 4 | 0.0125% | 0.0375% | 0.0010% | 0.0400% |
| VIP 5 | 0.0100% | 0.0325% | 0.0000% | 0.0350% |
Rates from BloFin’s fee page as of 15 October 2026.
The first step matters most for futures makers. VIP 1 cuts their fee from 0.02% to 0.006%, while the taker fee only drops to 0.05%, so opening the $10,000 position with a limit order costs $0.60 instead of $2. At VIP 5 futures makers pay nothing, and the fee page shows no negative maker fee at any level.
How to reach each level
| Level | 30-day futures volume | 30-day spot volume | Assets |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP 1 | 10,000,000 USDT | 1,000,000 USDT | 50,000 USDT |
| VIP 2 | 25,000,000 USDT | 2,000,000 USDT | 500,000 USDT |
| VIP 3 | 50,000,000 USDT | 4,000,000 USDT | 1,000,000 USDT |
| VIP 4 | 200,000,000 USDT | 6,000,000 USDT | 2,000,000 USDT |
| VIP 5 | 500,000,000 USDT | 8,000,000 USDT | 3,000,000 USDT |
At VIP 4 and VIP 5 the fee page also shows lower volume figures for “Non-API Trading”: 160,000,000 and 400,000,000 USDT on futures, 4,800,000 and 6,400,000 USDT on spot. BloFin doesn’t explain how they’re applied.
The rules behind the table:
- Assets are a daily snapshot, taken at 00:00 UTC, of your Funding and Trading accounts. Futures bonus and vouchers don’t count.
- Volume is the total of your futures and spot trades over the last 30 days, recalculated every day.
- Sub-accounts pay the main account’s rates.
- VIP status at another exchange can lift you two levels. BloFin’s “Jump 2 VIP Levels” offer is open to traders with VIP status elsewhere or who meet BloFin’s own requirements. You apply with a screenshot of your status, a relationship manager reviews it, and the form calls the result a VIP trial pass without saying how long it lasts.
How to pay less on BloFin
BloFin doesn’t list a discount for paying fees in a token, so the savings come from your orders, your level, your leverage and cashback.
- Trade futures with limit orders where you can. At the Regular level that’s 0.02% instead of 0.06%, or $2 instead of $6 on each side of the $10,000 position.
- Check whether your assets already reach VIP 1. 50,000 USDT across your Funding and Trading accounts is enough, and it takes the futures maker fee to 0.006%, which is $0.60 on $10,000.
- Size leverage with fees in mind. The same $1,000 at 20x is a $20,000 position, so a market order costs $12 to open instead of $6.
- Know which spot pairs are on the high-risk list. They cost twice the Regular spot rate: $2 instead of $1 on a $1,000 buy.
- Factor in funding on longer holds. You pay or receive it at every settlement, and BloFin can shorten a contract’s interval to one hour.
- Sign up through a cashback site and get half of every fee back, as the next section shows.
BloFin fees after cashback
BloFin pays its affiliates a commission on the trading fees of the traders they bring in. TradeGetPaid is one of them, and it pays you back 50% of your BloFin spot and futures trading fees, at every VIP level and with no cap. You pay BloFin its normal rates, and half of each fee comes back to you afterwards.
For futures, half back means you effectively pay 0.01% as a maker and 0.03% as a taker. On spot, 0.10% works out to 0.05%. On the $10,000 round trip, $6 of the $12 in fees comes back, so the trade really costs $6. That 0.03% is below BloFin’s own VIP 5 taker rate of 0.035%.

BloFin’s Regular futures rates before and after half of each fee comes back.
Over a month of futures market orders, half back looks like this:
| Futures trading per month | Taker rate | Fees | 50% back | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 round trips of $10,000 | 0.06% | $240 | $120 | $120 |
| $1 million | 0.06% | $600 | $300 | $300 |
| $25 million | 0.045% (VIP 2) | $11,250 | $5,625 | $5,625 |
| $100 million | 0.0425% (VIP 3) | $42,500 | $21,250 | $21,250 |
In the last two rows, your 30-day futures volume reaches VIP 2 and VIP 3, so BloFin’s lower rate applies first and the cashback is half of that.

Frequently asked questions
At the Regular level, spot costs 0.10% for makers and 0.10% for takers, and futures 0.02% and 0.06%. Spot pairs on BloFin’s high-risk list cost 0.2%, and higher VIP levels pay less on spot and futures.
BloFin puts them on a high-risk list on its fee page and charges 0.2% to makers and takers alike. Tokenized stocks such as AAPLX, NVDAX and TSLAX are on it.
The rate stays the same, but the amount grows, because BloFin charges the fee on the whole position. With $1,000 at 10x, you pay fees on $10,000: $6 to open and $6 to close with market orders.
No. BloFin says funding isn’t charged as a trading fee but exchanged between traders. You pay or receive it only if your position is open at settlement, which comes every 8 hours on BTCUSDT.
Any one of three: 50,000 USDT in assets, 10,000,000 USDT of 30-day futures volume, or 1,000,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume.
Futures makers pay 0% at VIP 5, and recent futures listings have started with no maker fee for 48 hours. The fee page shows no negative maker fee at any level.
